Breaking: Lagos LG Chairman Confirmed Dead

The Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area in Lagos State has gone into mourning following the death of its Executive Chairman, Musibau Asafa.
According to reports, the deceased’s Chief Press Secretary, Bodunrin Ayodele, stated on Saturday that Asafa died after a protracted struggle with illness.

Ayodele, who did not specify when the chairman died, stated that his principal died despite the efforts of medical personnel.

The statement read, “The Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area is in sorrow following the death of its Executive Chairman, Prince Musibau Adekunle Asafa.

“Prince Asafa, a distinguished statesman, leader, and dedicated public servant, died after a long illness, leaving a legacy of dedication and commitment to those he served.

“According to a close family member, Prince Asafa died after a long illness. Despite medical personnel’ attempts, he was unable to recover and died, leaving his family, friends, and colleagues shocked and grieving.

“As word spreads of his death, tributes and condolences are expected from well-wishers, community leaders, and government officials who had the honor of working with him. Prince Asafa’s leadership was distinguished by a dedication to bettering the lives of his residents, and his contributions to local government will be much regretted.

“Oto-Awori LCDA has lost a committed servant, and his absence will be felt by many. May his legacy continue on, and may his family take comfort in the memories of his life and service.”

Abdul-Hamed Salawu, Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government Area, expressed his condolences to Oto-Awori LCDA on Saturday via the Somolu LGA social media pages.

The post read, “The executive chairman of Somolu Local Government, Abdul- Hammed Salawu, has sent the condolences of the Executive, Legislature, Management, and the people of Somolu Local Government to the people of Oto-Awori LCDA and the APC family, on the painful death of Prince Musbau Adekunle Asafa, the executive chairman of Oto-Awori LCDA.

“May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”
