Falz, a well-known singer and activist, has accused President Bola Tinubu of neglecting his main duty of protecting people and property in the nation.
He chastised the President for not addressing the nation’s growing insecurity.
In response to the latest Benue State massacre, he made this statement on his X account.
The crooner of “This is Nigeria” claimed that Tinubu has repeatedly demonstrated his inability to carry out his main duty of protecting people and property.
He emphasized that the issue of insecurity is not addressed by the president’s usual statement.
“You have repeatedly demonstrated your inability to fulfill the fundamental responsibility of protecting the lives and property of your citizens,” Falz stated. This commonplace assertion is insufficient.
Falz bemoaned in another post that not enough attention is being paid to the deaths in Benue.
More than 200 people have been senselessly killed and burned alive in Benue, and this is not even receiving nearly enough attention, he said. How come we treat ourselves so badly?
Falz, meanwhile, has denied reports that he was romantically involved with Idris Okunneye, also known as Bobrisky, a controversial crossdresser.

It was brought to light that in 2024, Falz’s purported phone conversation with Bobrisky while he was incarcerated was released by social media critic VeryDarkMan, commonly known as VDM.
Falz launched a slander lawsuit against VDM after the development led to widespread homosexual rumors about him.
During an interview with Arise TV on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, amid the ongoing legal disputes with VDM, Falz denied having a connection with Bobrisky, saying he merely attempted to assist.
Falz provided an update on the court matter involving VDM, stating that the social media critic has not yet entered the defense.
“Update on the court case, very much still in court,” he stated. My dad and I are claiming defamation in a substantive complaint. They have never entered a defense since we filed the complaint. As an alternative, they filed a preliminary objection, claiming that the court lacked jurisdiction to hear the case.
I was in court as of the last date. That initial objection has been dismissed by the court. They must now file a defense, failing which the court will simply make a decision. This concludes the update. I’ll leave it at that because I can’t really speak anything on the topic of the ongoing case.
Before that phone conversation, Bobrisky and I had never been in a relationship. “I’m in this case, and I want to speak to you about how you can help,” he said in an Instagram message to me. And thousands of individuals messaged me about similar things. This isn’t an extraordinary situation; it’s not a rare circumstance.
In many of those situations, I will give them a chance to ask questions such, “What’s the P? How can I help?” Kindly. I did not know. Anyway, as they say, shyness comes after a bite. In the end, I may not be able to help anyone again, but I may be lot more aware of my actions.
