Usman Okai Austin, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, has claimed that Nasir El-Rufai, the former Governor of Kaduna State, is on a revenge mission against President Bola Tinubu.
According to reports, Okai’s statement comes on the heels of El-Rufai’s claim that Tinubu cannot win the 2027 presidential race. Smartphones’ accessibility
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Okai stated El-Rufai should let Nigerians decide Tinubu’s fate in 2027, not him, who is acting like a deity.

Okai described the Social Democratic Party (SDP) chieftain as “pure sour grapes” and “ego-driven,” emphasizing that his political importance had been methodically undermined by his successor, Governor Uba Sani.

According to him, El-Rufai duped his childhood friend, Uba, into becoming his Chief of Staff, and then used him against Shehu Sani.
He stated, “El-Rufai does not care for Nigeria; he only cares about Nasir El-Rufai. Let Nigerians decide Tinubu’s fate in 2027, not El-Rufai, who speaks like a God and seeks to take the people’s power.

“This is the same El-Rufai who tricked his childhood friend, Uba Sani, into becoming his Chief of Staff before using him against Shehu Sani, despite the fact that Uba and Shehu are brothers. Blood proved to be thicker than water.

“Once a kingmaker, he is now a discarded pawn — used, dumped, and left seething with rage.”

According to Okai, President Tinubu appears to have entirely ignored El-Rufai, and the former Governor is feverishly trying to justify himself.

The PDP chieftain went on to condemn El-Rufai’s role in transforming Kaduna into Nigeria’s first Muslim-Muslim ticket state, blaming him of fueling religious tensions and overseeing severe violence.

He continued, “There were no calls, no reconciliations. Just a cold, intentional contempt. El-Rufai is currently on a revenge tour, doing interviews, wailing betrayal, and desperately trying to explain himself.

“He had the guts to tell Tinubu to follow his divisive tactics. But Tinubu outplayed him. Shettima was appointed as vice president. The ministerial dream fell apart.

“If Tinubu had appointed him as minister or Uba Sani had stayed his puppet, El-Rufai would be praising him right now. But now? “He’s just another bitter ex-governor, thrashing in the political gutter and screaming for relevance.”
