For the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced a new location.
According to Naija News, there was increased tension inside the PDP’s National Secretariat in Abuja on Monday when security personnel prevented party members from convening a planned meeting.
The meeting was interrupted by a strong security presence. It was supposed to take place at the NEC Hall of the PDP’s Wadata Plaza offices in Wuse Zone 5.
It has been alleged that uniformed officers evicted individuals who were already inside and blocked off the area.
Daily Trust claims that a senior officer was heard giving his men strong orders, telling them not to have any kind of assembly inside the facility.
The opposition party revealed in a succinct statement posted on its official 𝕏 handle that the meeting, which was originally planned to take place at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja at 10 am, has been rescheduled to the Yar’Adua Centre in the Central Business District of Abuja.

The announcement says, “Excellent News! The PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting has a new location. Yar’Adua Centre, Central Business District, Abuja is now the new location for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) Meeting, @OfficialPDPNig, which was originally planned to take place at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja around 10 a.m.
“With this notice, all BOT members are encouraged to move to the new location.”
