Adebayo Salami, often known as Oga Bello, is a veteran Nollywood actor and filmmaker who has promised not to leave his children any homes or properties.
In a recent interview with the Nigerian Tribune, the actor revealed this information.
Bello claims he has already left his children the most priceless legacy possible: education.
The actor, who has two wives and is a proud father of eighteen children, claimed that he determined early in life to allocate his resources to providing his kids with a good education rather than amassing wealth for them.
“I don’t want to leave any properties for my children,” he claims. All I need are two homes—one in my hometown and one in Lagos. Please share any money you find in my account. Education is something I’m very passionate about.
The actor, whose career started with the late Baba Mero’s Young Concert Party in 1964, stated that his opinions on parenting have been influenced by the fact that he was never afforded parental support during his own schooling.

“I wanted all of my kids to have an education, even if it was only a first degree,” he continued.
In addition, Oga Bello emphasized that he never coerced any of his kids into performing, stating that they did so out of passion and that he just provided support as long as they performed well academically.
“I didn’t force or bring them to the industry.” When kids wanted to follow me to rehearsals, I would say no, unless they were doing well in school. They had to work hard because of that,” he explained.
Oga Bello offered insightful thoughts about retirement and aging, as well as the absence of cultural readiness for old age.
“There are difficulties associated with aging. Getting ready for senior age is a personal process. We don’t take it seriously in Nigeria, regardless of vocation. I gave my kids my best. They will look after me when I’m elderly,” he remarked.
