On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) will issue the official cut-off scores for admission to universities, polytechnics, education institutes, and monotechnics nationwide.
The decision is set to be made at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja during JAMB’s annual policy meeting.
In a post on its official 𝕏 feed on Wednesday, JAMB reportedly confirmed the date.
The 2025 Policy Meeting is scheduled for July 8, 2025, at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, according to the release.
The policy meeting is a stakeholder gathering when policy guidelines and other pertinent admissions laws are discussed and approved for the upcoming academic year, according to the statement.

Regulatory authorities, provosts, rectors, and vice-chancellors are among the leading players in Nigeria’s education system that are anticipated to attend the policy meeting.

For admission to various tertiary institution categories, the meeting will establish the minimum Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) scores needed.
Furthermore, JAMB stated that the conference will offer a chance to finalize admission schedules, including application, screening, and registration deadlines for the 2025–2026 school year.
According to JAMB, the occasion would also include an official announcement and celebration of the top-performing candidates in the 2025 UTME.
