Despite growing pressure from opposing political factions attempting to entice Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to leave the party, Buba Galadima, a leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), insists he will stay.
Galadima made the remarks on Friday in an interview with Arise Television’s “The Morning Show.”
There have been recent allegations that Kwankwaso is planning to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC); some have connected this development to Abdullahi Ganduje’s later resignation as national chairman of the party.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), APC, and coalition members have all made attempts to court Kwankwaso, according to Galadima, a close colleague of the former NNPP presidential candidate.

He asserts that despite attempts by others to recruit Kwankwaso into their ranks, he has demonstrated discipline and commitment by sticking with the NNPP.
Galadima stated, “Until the political scandal is exposed, we will strategically stay in the NNPP.”
In accordance with Nigerian law, our party, the NNPP, is a recognized political organization by INEC.
“We remain in our current position. Naturally, there have been a number of reports in the media and on social media, but it only serves to highlight Rabiu Kwankwaso as the leader this nation needs and ought to emulate.
Former Kano state governor Kwankwaso was referred to by the NNPP chieftain as “a strategic politician,” whose credibility has only grown as a result of his quiet.
All of the nation’s major parties, he continued, seem to recognize Kwankwaso’s importance.
Galadima stated that despite his decision to remain silent, people are freely advocating for him.
“Everyone is claiming he is capable, competent, and capable of leading the nation instead of spending money on public relations. From a politician, what more could you ask for?
He is essential to all Nigerians. He is essential to both political parties. Why not back him to win the presidency of Nigeria so he can spread the benefits of democracy?
Galadima emphasised that Kwankwaso is still “steadfast and strategic” despite genuine political overtures from the PDP, APC, and coalition.
