A trustworthy source near Awujale’s Palace in Ijebu-Ode and representatives of the Ogun State Government verified the monarch’s passing on Sunday, according to Western Post.

As one of Nigeria’s longest-reigning traditional rulers, Oba Adetona, a longstanding friend of Buhari, came to power in 1960 and was a highly esteemed figure among Yoruba monarchs and the nation at large.
