At the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met behind closed doors with Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State.
The meeting, which emphasizes the President’s ongoing involvement with important political figures and state executives, was reportedly part of larger consultations meant to improve ties between the federal government and the states.
Former state governor Akpabio and two other prominent local politicians accompanied Governor Eno, the head of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom, to the meeting.
It was claimed that although specifics of the discussions were not yet available, they may have focused on strengthening ties between Akwa Ibom State and the Federal Government as well as tackling matters of national importance.

Following their discussion, the three of them posed for pictures at the Villa, indicating a friendly and cooperative atmosphere.
In a post on 𝕏 (previously known as Twitter), presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga confirmed the visit.
Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom and Senate President Godswill Akpabio paid President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a visit on Friday, Onanuga wrote, referring to Governor Eno as the APC leader in his state. In his state, Governor Eno leads the APC.
