Former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi has been persuaded to stay in the Labour Party (LP) by former federal senator Shehu Sani.
In case you forgot, Obi was the Labour Party’s (LP) 2023 presidential contender.
After Atiku Abubakar and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who ran on the platforms of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), respectively, he finished third.
A number of internal issues have plagued the Labour Party since the last election, though, with two groups vying for power.

Obi has been at the center of the debate over the party’s future after the leadership contest.

Advice From Shehu Sani to Peter Obi on His Birthday
On Saturday (today), Sani, a former senator from Kaduna State, joined the host of Nigerians in celebrating Obi’s 64th birthday and suggested that the former governor think about remaining in the Labour Party.
“Happy birthday, Mr. Peter Obi. The Devil knows, so I would advise you to hold off on working. On his official 𝕏 handle, Sani said, “Don’t chase two rabbits at the same time,” telling Obi not to change platforms in the face of the political unpredictability that still exists.
