Nigerian rapper Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf, better known by his stage as CDQ, has stated that he finds fulfillment in music regardless of the financial gain.
According to reports, the crooner of “Nowo Soke” recently told the Echo Room that he became a banker in order to fulfill his late father’s wish.
After he discovered that he was creating lyrics during work hours rather than doing his duties, CDQ said he made the decision to leave his banking position and concentrate on his music.
The rapper claims that when he fled his house to live with music producer Masterkraft, he was unable to tell any of his relatives.
According to CDQ, he assured Masterkraft that a breakthrough will be made in six months and advised them to concentrate on music.

Within six months of landing a deal and moving from the ghetto to Lekki, he said, they made their breakthrough.
“I quit my job at the bank,” he said. At the time, I was unable to notify my mother or any other family members. I went out of the house to the studio to stay with Masterkraft. I informed him that I’m not passionate about banking. I’ll probably simply do it to get by. However, music is something I like doing whether or not I get paid for it.
When his smash song “Indomie,” which featured Masterkraft and Olamide, was released in 2016, CDQ became well-known. Davido’s career rose thanks to the remix.
