During her attempt to board a flight to the United Kingdom on Thursday morning, suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central at the National Assembly, was momentarily held by immigration officers at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
According to information obtained, Natasha was allegedly stopped and informed that she was not permitted to travel since the National Assembly leadership had requested that her name be added to a watch list.
Immigration agents stopped Natasha at the departure gate while she was traveling with her husband to attend her stepson’s graduation ceremony in the UK, a family member who verified the story told The Premium Times.
According to the family source, “She was informed that the National Assembly leadership asked that she be put on a watch list and deemed a flight risk.”

Given that she has never missed a court hearing and that there is no court order limiting her movement, we are curious as to why they treated her in that manner.
According to witnesses who talked to the aforementioned website, the senator called top immigration and government authorities multiple times in protest of the travel ban.
After almost an hour, Natasha was halted at the airport before being allowed to board her British Airways aircraft.
“Her passport was eventually stamped and she was allowed to proceed,” one witness stated.
Remember how the Senator from Kogi publicly objected to the alteration in her sitting arrangement and then contested the Senate’s decision to suspend her?
Additionally, Natasha had charged Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, with sexual harassment.
Akpabio, however, has refuted the accusation.
