Due to serious misconduct, the Bauchi State government has authorized the immediate dismissal of Malam Musa Ahmed Ningi, the principal of Government Day Secondary School in Kirfi.
Garba Muhammad Bashe, the permanent secretary of the Bauchi State Teachers’ Service Commission, signed a statement announcing the development.
Similarly, Adamu Shehu, a senior teacher at the school, was dismissed by the Commission after he was found guilty of conspiring with the principal to unlawfully sell some government-owned school property.
The Commission reports that 32 scrap student beds, nine large aluminum cooking pots, and an unknown quantity of roofing zinc were among the items auctioned.
The two cops were convicted of the charges by a commission investigation committee consisting of four members.

The Commission authorized the demotion of the two officers by one grade and directed their transfer to a different school as part of the disciplinary action.
The Commission said both officers will reimburse the estimated ₦597,000 value of the sold products in a statement emailed to journalists in Bauchi on Thursday by its Information Officer, Dahiru Adamu.
In order to settle the allowance owed to the school’s casual workers, the principal must also return ₦72,000.
In order to retrieve stolen goods and maintain responsibility, the Commission also promised to work with security authorities.
