Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyökeres is scheduled to have his medicals before making a high-profile move to the Emirates as Arsenal’s recruitment business heats up.
Renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that all procedures between Sporting and the Gunners have been finished, paving the path for the Swedish forward to take the last stages toward joining Arsenal.
As all the paperwork has been approved and exchanged, Romano stated on X that Viktor Gyökeres is now an Arsenal player. With official travel authorization and medicals scheduled to begin within the next day, Arsenal and Sporting finished the procedure. Gyökeres will arrive soon.

The striker is anticipated to join Mikel Arteta’s team on their preseason tour in Asia, bringing more firepower to a frontline that is already loaded with talented attackers. Arsenal supporters will be hoping Gyökeres repeats his goal-scoring feats from Portugal in the Premier League.

Real Madrid complies with Alonso’s requests.
As the summer transfer window continues, Real Madrid is demonstrating their faith in recently hired manager Xabi Alonso by granting his transfer requests.

Alonso has told the team to keep midfielder Dani Ceballos, who has been linked to a move away, especially to Real Betis, according to Madrid Zone via Cadena SER.

Additionally, according to the source, Alonso has requested that no midfield player be sold this summer, and the Los Blancos management has apparently granted his request.

Since Luka Modric left recently, Alonso appears determined to keep experience and depth in the middle of midfield as he prepares for the 2025–2026 season.

Chelsea Withdrew from Isak’s Pursuit, Focus Changed
Alexander Isak, the striker for Newcastle, is apparently no longer a target for Chelsea.

The Swedish forward has expressed his wish to leave St. James’ Park and submitted a transfer request, but the Blues are focusing on other options.

On his official 𝕏 page, Fabrizio Romano clarified the matter, saying, “Despite reports, Chelsea is not actively working on the Alexander Isak deal and has no desire in moving forward. #CFC is quite pleased with their strikers and is now totally focused on the deals involving Xavi Simons and Jorrel Hato.

Chelsea’s recruiting squad appears happy with their current attacking configuration and is more interested in bringing in young players, even though Liverpool is still the front-runner in the hunt for Isak.
