Veteran Nollywood actress Ego Boyo has stated that, contrary to popular belief, she did not quit performing because of pressure from her spouse, but rather out of personal desire.
Chude Jideonwo, a media personality, interviewed the 56-year-old, according to Naija News.
The actress claimed that after realizing that making movies fulfilled her more, she quit performing.
Her attention shifted to working behind the scenes in the film industry because, she explained, acting no longer excited her.
When she discovered that she preferred producing above performing, she commented, “I quit acting.” The experience was dull. It wasn’t sensational, but the blogs wanted it to be something like my spouse banning me from it.
Beginning her career in the entertainment sector in the 1980s, Boyo rose to recognition in the early 1990s thanks to her role in the television series Checkmate.
Since leaving acting, she has focused on making movies and working on other artistic endeavors.
The rumors that her spouse prevented her from acting were also addressed by her, who said they were untrue and intended merely to create drama.

Despite his development, the movie star acknowledged that he feels his full potential has not yet been realized.
According to Iwara, he believes he can accomplish much more and is prepared to challenge himself further—so long as it doesn’t negatively impact his health.
“No,” he said. The state of my career does not satisfy me. I believe I am capable of much more. I think there’s a ton of unrealized potential. I believe that if I don’t have a breakdown, I could work twice as hard as I do today. Simply put, I never seem to be content.
