Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, better known by his stage name Spyro, is a Nigerian singer who has talked about how his belief in God influenced his career, even when it meant defying his own team’s advise.
Spyro left his record label in 2019 to launch his own, according to reports, and claimed to have used bank and personal debts to finance the business without any outside funding.
Along the process, some team members pushed him to remove “Christ Ambassador” from his profile and abandon his “Jesus Boy” brand because they thought it diminished his appeal.
Standing his stand, Spyro said he would sooner die than have Jesus taken away from him.
He also rejected the idea of changing it to “Child of God,” stating that he will be given opportunities because of his religion.
