The 2023 elections presented Foluke Daramola-Salako, a Nollywood actress, with both personal and professional concerns.
She stated that her strategy will be different in 2027 in an interview with Behind The Fame TV.
Her decision to back President Bola Tinubu in 2023 cost her two ambassadorship jobs worth 10 million and 15 million naira, according to reports.
She added that her marriage was nearly ruined by her situation.
According to her, “the reality is that I cannot be the same person I was in 2023 and 2027.” How could that be? No matter how much is viewed, I am aware of what I lost without accruing a kobo. Due to the Obedient movement and the election, I lost two ambassadorial deals, one worth 10 million and one worth 15 million. I nearly had my marriage end.

“My marriage nearly ended, but the important thing is that I voted based on my conscience and my decision.”
Daramola-Salako was named media assistant for the APC’s 2023 presidential campaign committee in Lagos State’s performing arts directorate department.
She defended her devotion to Tinubu in the face of criticism, calling him a father figure who had helped her get married and on many other occasions.
Her position was defended by her husband, Kayode Salako, a supporter of Peter Obi and the chairman of the Lagos branch of the Labour Party.
According to him, Nigerians are free to back anybody they want.
He claimed that they would prefer not to back any political candidate than to stand against Tinubu, whom he saw as a family benefactor.
