The upcoming by-election for the Garki/Babura Federal Constituency on Saturday will be the pivotal event that signals the end of the APC’s rule in Jigawa State, according to Mustapha Sule Lamido, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate for governor in the state’s general election in 2023.
This was said by Lamido in front of the party’s supporters on Wednesday during a large-scale campaign rally in Babura, when the party’s flag was presented to its candidate for the next by-election.
He claimed that Nigerians are prepared to throw the party out in favor of peace and harmony because they have had enough of the suffering they have been through for more than a decade since 2015.
He asserted that “the amount of hardships Nigerians are experiencing is enormous, and the APC has been in power for ten years.” We must overthrow this administration and begin with the by-election in the Garki/Babura Federal Constituency.
Due to the suffering they caused Nigerians, the ruling party is being jeered and humiliated. Both nationally and in the states, the APC is pushing the nation backward.
“I am certain that APC’s days are coming to an end based on what I am witnessing today (the massive gathering).”
He urged the people to turn out in large numbers, cast their ballots, stay safe, and make sure their votes were counted.
He said that the PDP is dedicated to meeting the needs, desires, and ambitions of the average person and is always prepared to do so.
In addition, Auwalu Isah Manzo, the PDP candidate, pledged to address the majority of the issues that the constituents have been dealing with due to the APC’s years of deceit in the Green Chamber.
He expressed his gratitude to the party’s leadership and supporters for the chance and promised to do everything in his power to help the party win.
