On Wednesday, Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) Group Chief Executive Officer Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari visited the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Plant in Bonny.
Ojulari gave NLNG management high marks during the visit for playing a crucial part in advancing Nigeria’s industrial development, economic stability, and energy transition.
Additionally, he emphasized NNPCL’s dedication to supporting NLNG’s long-term growth as a significant stakeholder.
In order to prepare Nigeria’s energy sector for a competitive, low-carbon, and net-zero future, he revealed ambitious measures to strengthen gas infrastructure and investigate fresh prospects in clean energy innovation.
Ojulari emphasized the strategic importance of NLNG’s Train 7 project, calling it a key component for increasing Nigeria’s export potential, creating thousands of employment, and strengthening the country’s position in the world energy market.
It is anticipated that the project will greatly increase NLNG’s capacity to produce, hence enhancing Nigeria’s standing as a major LNG exporter.
The chief executive officer of NNPC Ltd. also praised NLNG’s strong governance structure, steadfast dedication to sustainability, and excellent asset integrity, describing them as symbols of operational excellence and a source of pride for the country.
