In the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, Wale Ade-Oba, a member of the Ekiti State Waste Management Board, has resigned.
Governor Oyebanji came under fire from Ade-Oba, who pointed out that despite the administration receiving a sizable amount of funding, there hasn’t been any substantive development.

Ade-Oba expressed his support for Mr. Kayode Ojo, the pro-chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, and stated his intention to cease working with the Oyebanji-led government. He described Ojo as a visionary leader who has the ability to change Ekiti State.

He claimed that the governor has been unable to govern effectively because of his frequent vacations from the state and his pursuit of what he called a “unclear agenda.”

I’m writing to let you know about a choice that might surprise a lot of people, the statement says. As you are aware, I have been functioning as an appointee under Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s current administration. But after giving it some thought, I have chosen to work alongside Engr. Kayode Ojo, a leader who has a vision for a better Ekiti.

Many local government areas, including mine, Irepodun/Ifelodun, have not seen significant progress, in my opinion, thanks to the administration.

“Despite their diligence and commitment to the party’s success, our party members are being disparaged and ignored. Rather, individuals of the opposing party who did not help us win are being given important posts, and our devoted supporters are being disregarded.

“Uncertain agendas and frequent absences from the state are the governor’s main causes of the current administration’s low productivity. A change is needed, in my opinion.

Engr. Kayode Ojo’s vision for Ekiti and his leadership style are inspiring to me. His administration, in my opinion, would put the needs of our citizens first, honor the work of our party members, and promote growth in every local government division.

“I’m making this change because I want to be a part of a government that values the contributions of its devoted supporters and genuinely serves the people of Ekiti.” I’m ready to put in the effort necessary to make our state’s future better, and I encourage everyone to accompany me on this path.
