Super Eagles of Nigeria goalie Maduka Okoye is a target for Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray.
Playing for Udinese, an Italian Seria A team, Maduka Okoye, 24, is regarded as a long-term replacement for Fernando Muslera, the team’s seasoned goalkeeper.
Even if Okoye is accused of engaging in betting fraud during a Serie A match against Lazio on March 11, 2024, Galatasaray still wants to sign him.
They have begun talking with Udinese to see if the Nigerian international is available, according to those close to the club.
It should be noted that Okoye has had a decent career since moving from Watford to Udinese in 2023. In 48 appearances in all competitions last season, the goalie, who was born in Lagos, recorded ten clean sheets.
Udinese is reportedly asking approximately €15 million for his services, according to the Italian publication Calcio.
Despite the asking price and the impending investigations surrounding Okoye, Galatasaray, who are also pushing for the signature of Super Eagles attacker Victor Osimhen, are unconcerned.
Marco Asensio, a Spanish international, is being pursued by Fenerbahçe manager José Mourinho from Paris Saint-Germain.

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Fenerbahçe and the PSG midfielder have reached an agreement. According to rumors, Asensio has been invited to Istanbul to complete the transaction and have a physical.
Mourinho, who seems eager to assemble a competitive team from seasoned players, views Asensio’s transfer as a declaration of purpose.
In another statement, Viktor Gyökeres stated that he had no plans to return to Sporting CP for the preseason.
Frederico Varandas, the president of Sporting, has been formally notified by the Swedish striker of his departure.
Having played a key role in Sporting’s championship run the previous season, the 26-year-old has decided to join Arsenal, a Premier League team.
