The officers from Police Nigeria’s Area F Division were on the streets to maintain order.
As the country celebrated its 26th Democracy Day, demonstrators took to the streets of Lagos.
Protesters in large numbers denounced the increasing suffering and ongoing murders of Nigerians in all of the country’s states.
People and representatives of various civil society organizations that have expressed concern over Nigeria’s deteriorating economic situation make up the protesting group.

The initiatives and reforms implemented by President Bola Tinubu’s administration since taking office on May 29, 2023, were also denounced by them.
Other states, including Kano, have also expressed interest in joining the action, even though the demonstration in Lagos has not yet formally started.
Remember that a Democracy Day broadcast was originally planned for President Tinubu to speak to Nigerians.
However, the live broadcast was canceled because the Nigerian government said that the president and parliamentarians would be attending a joint session of the National Assembly.
The president is scheduled to speak to the nation’s inhabitants Thursday, June 12, at around noon from the National Assembly complex.
