According to Yunusa Tanko, the National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, Nigerians endorse Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP).
Tanko claims that Obi is supported by a large contingent of well-meaning Nigerians.
Tanko made the claim in response to a 𝕏 user named @nobsdaslushkid who claimed that, in the absence of the Obidient Movement, Obi would have been laid to rest.
“I know this might sound silly, but they would have buried Peter Obi a long time ago without the Obidients,” Nobsdaslushkid commented.
He’s fortunate to have his own army. Whatever the result, one thing is certain: he wasn’t the only one who lived up to his rhetoric.
Tanko responded by saying that he is proud to be a supporter of the former governor of Anambra State and that Peter Obi has never been alone and would never be alone.
“His Excellency Peter Obi has never been alone and never will be,” he wrote.
As the organization’s temporary global coordinator, I am lucky to have an army of well-meaning Nigerians firmly supporting him.

Ahead to the 2027 elections, Obi reportedly responded to suggestions that he will rejoin the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Obi also corrected stories that reiterate his loyalty to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which is run by the coalition, saying he has not spoken any opinions about the two parties.
In a statement issued on his behalf by Ibrahim Umar of Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR) in Abuja on Tuesday, the former governor of Anambra State advised people not to put words in his mouth.
According to Umar, Obi did not make the alleged statement rejecting his affiliation with the PDP and restating his dedication to the ADC.
He went on to say that while political stakeholders are speculating about Peter Obi’s next steps, he is still committed to creating a better Nigeria.
