Former PDP National Chairman Prince Uche Secondus has charged that President Bola Tinubu is steering Nigeria in the wrong way.
According to Secondus, President Tinubu is leading Nigeria’s economy in the direction of liquidation.
According to reports, the PDP chieftain made the submission on Wednesday while speaking in Abuja at the public launch of two new books (Wadata Wonders: Memoirs of a Partisan Journalist and The Bubbles of Nigeria’s Democracy: The Musings of a Nigerian Journalist) written by seasoned journalist and political communicator Ike Abonyi.
He complained that political parties in Nigeria lack institutional continuity and ideological consistency, making the country’s current democratic system ineffective.
“We have yet to reach a point where we can declare that we have democracy,” he stated. In our nation, democracy does not exist. All we have is a recipe for electoral success.
“Under the leadership of Bola Tinubu, our nation is steadily heading in the wrong path to the point where you might say Nigeria is facing liquidation. From the wards and units, everyone in the communities and political parties is meant to be under a chain of command.

Secondus described South Africa’s African National Congress (ANC) as an unshakeable institution and emphasized the necessity for Nigeria to establish robust political institutions.
He compared it to the situation in Nigeria, where politicians often change parties with no repercussions, claiming that such behavior undermines constitutional stability and democratic culture.
Secondus asserted that the nation would not advance unless appropriate democratic political parties were established, where members could stay for 30, 40, or 50 years and build and rebuild.
