The united Bank for Africa has up its game with the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) QR codes.
The NIBSS, described as the country’s largest payment switch, has invested in QR codes as a cash alternative for small-value transactions after improving its Nigeria Quick Response (NQR) payment platform.
With UBA developing its app for merchants that allows them to accept QR code payments, customers can download the app, register, and instantly generate QR codes.
The bank said, “To make payments directly from your account, there is a feature to scan the NIBSS QR code. This means you have cut out typing account numbers over and over again.
“The UBA Mobile App isn’t just an app. It’s a full-service bank that fits in your hand. From the security features to time-saving tools, it’s built to make life easier and a little cooler.
“I leave you to this. Next time you open it, don’t just check your balance and leave. Take time to explore and you might just discover a feature that makes you wonder how you have been banking without it.”
