Ayodele Fayose, a PDP leader, has boasted that Biodun Oyebanji, the governor of Ekiti State, will end up breaking and surpassing his electoral record.
In a statement released on Thursday, Fayose claimed that Oyebanji would beat his 16-0 record by triumphing in all 177 state wards.
He pointed out that Oyebanji shown political strength on Wednesday when he turned in his nomination form in Abuja.
Those who are still holding onto the dream that there won’t be a vacancy in the Ekiti Government House till 2030 should now be aware of the number of influential political figures who followed Oyebanji when he submitted his party’s nomination form in Abuja on Wednesday, according to the former governor.
“Not only will the governor surpass my record of 16 to 0, he will break it by winning all 177 wards,” he declared.
Reiterating that he was not a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Fayose emphasized that he never apologized to anyone for his continued support of Oyebanji and President Bola Tinubu.
Even if it was an exaggeration, he said that Governor Oyebanji’s submission of his party nomination form yesterday demonstrated the whereabouts of the Ekiti people.
Through divine intervention, he will not only surpass my electoral record of winning in the state’s 16 LGAs, but he will also win in all 177 wards.
As he has been doing, Governor Oyebanji should keep his attention on providing the citizens of Ekiti with good governance and democratic benefits through 2030.
“Those who are making noise about challenging should be ignored by him.” They are really a minor complication.
