The Delta State Police Command has busted a ritualists enclave in Ibusa,Oshimili North Local Government (LG) of the state
The evil premises was busted by Operatives of CP-Special Assignment Team (CP-SAT),led by ASP Julius Robinson after credible intelligence related to cult activities around Ibusa and its environs.
Delta State Police Relations Officer ( PPRO)SP Bright Edafe,said ,on October 6,2025, the Operatives stormed the residence of one Onwugbenu Olisa, of Umunye Bypass by Power Line, Ibusa Oshimili North LG of the state, who is at large.
” Arrested in the said house was one Okechukwu Okwudili Nwanolue,45, a native of Abala-Obodo community,Aniocha North LG.
“Upon search of the residence, one pump action gun , loaded with three live cartridges, two laptops suspected to be devices used for internet fraud, a live snail and other fetish items,concealed in a shrine were recovered. Efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspects are ongoing.
” In another development, operatives of CP-SAT, acting on credible intelligence relating to an armed syndicate terrorising the Sapele-Warri road, dispossed their unsuspecting victims of their valuables. On October 7,at about 6:30 a :m, operatives of CP-Special Assignment Team ( CP-SAT ) stormed a criminal hideout at Adheje Community ,along Sapele-Warri road, where two suspects: Lucky Tenaera,24, a native of Okwetolor community, Sapele LG and Prince Emma Esemedafe,38, a native of Effurun in Uvwie LG, both residing at Adheje community, Sapele LG. One locally made long gun, 11 ATM cards, and other items. The suspects are in custody, and investigation is ongoing.”
