The Delta State Police Command has arrested a drug Baron in Achalla Ibusa.
In a raid on a drug hideout in Asaba, operatives recovered substances suspected to be Ice, Collorado, Canadian Loud, and Indian Hemp, among others. Four suspects were arrested, and investigations are ongoing.
A statement yesterday by Delta State Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO) SP Bright Edafe, he explained that, the arrest is a demonstration of the Command’s commitment to the war against illicit drugs through proactive policing.
Edafe said ,”In another operation, a suspected cultist, Ovie Ejeh, 18, was arrested in Warri with a locally fabricated gun and two live cartridges. He confessed to being a member of a cult group.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Aina Adesola, has mandated DPOs and tactical commanders to adopt proactive policing strategies, warning that drug dealers will be arrested and prosecuted.
“The Police Command has reiterated its commitment to fighting crime and maintaining public safety in the state.”
