The prosecution said the offences, are contrary to the provisions of Section 17 of the Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022.

Abiso pleaded guilty when the charge was read to him, following which the judge convicted him.

Justice Omotosho said, “The plea of guilty made by the defendant corroborates his confessional statement, and the court is of the irresistible view that the defendant is guilty as charged on the four-count charge.”

The judge held, “In the final analysis, this court is satisfied that the prosecution has established the charge against the defendant beyond a reasonable doubt. Consequently, he is convicted as charged.”

The judge proceeded to sentence him to life imprisonment on counts two and four.
