Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Acting U.S. Consul General JoEllen Gorg attended Ogun Tech Hub Window on America, the 29th American Space in Nigeria, to formally inaugurate the facility over the weekend.
U.S. embassies and consulates, universities, libraries, innovation hubs, and other institutions host more than 700 American Spaces in 140 locations worldwide.
Every year, more than 4,400 programs are organized by the American Spaces network in Nigeria, reaching 100,000 Nigerians. Across 24 cities, Nigeria has 29 American Spaces, more than any other African nation.
GFA Technologies, a top IT business that helps creative companies, the U.S. Consulate General, and the Ogun State Government partnered to create this new center, the second in Abeokuta.
The Ogun Tech Hub Window on America provides a dynamic, American-themed setting where young Nigerians may develop their leadership abilities, explore ideas, and hone their tech and entrepreneurial skills through engaging workshops and events.

To aid with education, research, and career advancement, the center also offers computers, high-speed internet, and a variety of digital resources.
Visitors can also take use of a number of educational advisory programs to get advice on studying in the United States.

The goal of the Window on America initiative, according to Acting Consul General Gorg, is to strengthen the already close friendships between the United States and Nigeria while also fostering education and cultural exchanges.
As stated by Acting Consul General Gorg, “We are thrilled to collaborate with the Ogun State Government and GFA Technologies to open the Ogun Tech Hub Window on America in Abeokuta.” This Window on America is a technology-driven, cooperative center that benefits all Ogun State residents and beyond through partnership, education, and innovation.
